The immensely popular anime “Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba” (also known as “Demon Slayer”) has taken the world by storm. The TV adaptation of the manga was a huge success in Japan, and it has had equal success in the U.S. The fantasy anime action series is about Tanjiro Kamado. He returns home from work to discover that his entire family has been killed by a demon. Nezuko survived, but she was transformed into a demon by the demon. However, she retains enough human traits to suppress her desire to kill and instead aids her brother in fighting demons.

Tanjiro recruits Nezuko to help him become a demon-slayer. The story is action-packed and creepy but also touching and about friendship and family. Season 2 will be released later in the year. We have everything we know about the next season “Demon Slayer.”

When will Demon Slayer Season 2 release?

Although there was an official announcement about the next season, no release date has been given (via Netflix Live). We know that it will be released sometime in 2021. However, some believe it could drop as soon as this summer. This is bad news for Netflix subscribers. Crunchyroll confirmed that Season 2 will air this summer. However, the 26-episode second arc of the Crunchyroll series is not expected to end until November 2021 at the earliest. Between the premiere of Season 1 and Netflix’s January release, there was a 16-month delay. It could take until late 2022, or even 2023 before Netflix subscribers have access to subs and dubs (via Netflix).

Although it will be several months before we see more of “Demon Slayer”, fans can still go to Netflix and rewatch the first series. A sequel film, ” Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Mugen Train”, has just been released and picks up where Season 1 left off. You might enjoy it as a preparation for Season 2’s adventures. However, you should keep checking back for any updates regarding the official release date.

Who will be appearing in Demon Slayer Season 2

Crunchyroll reports that the entire cast of “Demon Slayer” Season 1 & “Mugen Train”, are back to reprise their roles for Season 2. As the majority of the cast, Japanese voice actors are Natsuki Hanae (“Tanjiro”), Akari Kito (“Nezuko”) and Hiro Shimono (“Zenitsu Agatsuma”) respectively. The English counterparts of these voice actors are Zach Aguilar (Tanjiro), Abby Trott (Nezuko), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka(Inosuke Hashibira) respectively. The newest member of the group, Tengen Urzui (Katsuyuki Conishi / Ray Chase), will be on the show. He is also a key player in Season 2 as well as the main antagonist Muzan Kidsuji(Toshihiko Seki/ Greg Chun).

Aguilar spoke with Aniplex of America when the English voice casting was announced. He talked about his reactions to finding out that he had been cast. He said, “I was thrilled, to put it mildly when I learned I had been selected for the role of Tanjiro.” “As a huge fan of the anime, it’s an honour to be able to be part of such a wonderful anime. I am giving my best to this character and I look forward to following Tanjiro’s journey!” (via Toonami Faithful). It is clear that the cast of both English and Japanese actors take their roles seriously. This makes it a thrilling show in either language.

What’s the plot of Demon Slayer Season 2?”

Although Season 2 of “Demon Slayer”, has yet to be released, the franchise movie ” Mugen Train” can still be viewed in most locations. It features Tanjiro and Nezuko as well as their friends, Zenitsu (and fellow demon-slayers), Inosuke and Zenitsu. The group board a train to go on a hunt for a powerful demon. They meet Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, Hashira member. Although you don’t have to see “Mugen Train”, Season 2 will be available before it, it will allow fans to keep track of the storyline and avoid spoilers.
