Interview with the magazine Monsters And Critics, Okubo admitted that, even though the manga may change, he expected the manga to be finished by volume 30. Anime News Network revealed that within the volume 23 of the series Okubo said that his story was at its end as well as that “Fire Force” would be the last of his manga.
