Here’s where you can watch Tom Hanks’ Greyhound Movie

Based on the C.S. Lewis novel, “Greyhound”, Tom Hanks’ war-drama is called “Greyhound”. Forester’s novel “The Good Shepherd” is the basis. Hanks was notably the one to write the screenplay for this film, his first since “Larry Crowne” (2011) (via IMDb).

Hanks portrays Navy Commander Ernest Krause, who is set in 1942 after the United States entered World War II. The captain controls the USS Keeling, code-named Greyhound. He also leads an escort group consisting of Allied warships that defend a merchant convoy headed to Liverpool. Krause is an intelligent man with seniority. However, this is his first command and his leadership is quickly challenged by German U-boats attacking the convoy. The captain must decide how to save his men and merchant ships from the Germans as they engage in sneak attacks.

The COVID-19 pandemic prevented the film from being released in theaters. However, “Greyhound” received positive reviews for its strong action and screenplay. James Berardinelli, Reviews, said that “Hanks’ script was an example of economic storytelling and the result is a thrilling 75% of what one would expect from well-made submarine movies.”

For anyone who is interested in this highly-acclaimed film, there is only one place to watch it right now.

This is the only way to stream Greyhound at this time, as it isn’t available for rent or purchase on any other major service like Amazon or Google Play. Apple has not yet released the movie on physical media such as DVD or Blu-ray. The company may alter its policies about content availability elsewhere. However, for now, Apple TV+ is the only source of the movie.

Hanks was upset that the movie wasn’t allowed in theaters. However, “Greyhound”, as Apple continues to attract more subscribers, will hopefully build an audience.
