Season 4 probably won’t end with Netflix
The “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir” distribution is a bit complicated to put it mildly. The French animation typically debuts in France and other countries prior to when it’s translated into English and then made its way across in the United States. It first came to U.S. via Nickelodeon but became popular after the first season debuted on Netflix in the year 2016. According to Business Wire from 2019, the series began airing in 2019, Disney Channel has the distribution rights for the show within the U.S., so Season 4 episodes will begin being shown in 2021 on the channel, although sometimes not in order.
Seasons 1 to 3 are available on Netflix Seasons 1 through 3 are on Netflix. the majority parts of Season 4 is available on Disney+ as well as the owned by Disney streaming service Hulu. The last episode in English-dubbed Season 4 on the schedule, “Ephemeral,” will be released on November 27 and will be released onto Disney+ and Hulu (via Miraculous Ladybug News). The 26-episode season remains with six episodes to air but no specific date for release.
The original agreement with Netflix was only for just the three first seasons according to the ZAG Entertainment press release (via PR Newswire) So, it’s possible the possibility exists that Season 4 will never land on Netflix. At least, not unless the distribution rights are changed and again or at any time in the near future. The fans will need to view Season 4 on one of the Disney-owned channels. the previously announced Seasons 5 through 7 (via Twitter) are likely to air too.
